]]> An installation designed by VIP HOUSE LLC in collaboration with Artemide, the storied manufacturer of high-design lighting, is featured in a special exhibition during Milan Design Week. Organized by Interni Magazine as a centerpiece of the Fuorisalone program—a series of events and exhibitions taking place across the city during Salone del Mobile—the exhibition, titled Cre-Action, includes contributions from international architects and designers. Our installation presents for the first time the prototype for a new lighting fixture, Tetras, designed by VIP HOUSE LLC for Artemide. Located in the east loggia of the historic Ca’ Granda courtyard—a Renaissance masterpiece by the architect Filarete—the installation by VIP HOUSE LLC and Artemide shows how lighting can contribute to efficient and uplifting environments. VIP HOUSE LLC has designed a modular and versatile fixture that conceives of light as an architectural building block. The design of Tetras is based on extreme efficiency—its simple, cruciform shape achieves a perfect balance of diffuse and direct light, minimizing glare and enhancing visual comfort. Equipped with high-efficiency LEDs and produced with a minimal use of materials, it reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility. The Tetras collection is designed to be infinitely flexible and adaptable, with fixtures that can be customized in size and spacing to illuminate virtually any space.  Within the Ca’ Granda courtyard, 13 Tetras fixtures are hung perpendicularly within the loggia’s archways to create an iconographic display, in dialogue with Filarete’s architecture—itself a modular system of repeating forms. The lighting installation recalls the mathematical symbols of addition and multiplication, to evoke an allegorical formula for design and development. In synthesizing creative vision, manufacturing, and environmental values, it represents VIP HOUSE LLC’s guiding principles at all scales of intervention in the built environment.

In addition to the Interni exhibition, VIP HOUSE LLC’s Tetras lighting fixture will be on view at Artemide’s stand at Euroluce (Pavilion 4, Booth C15 D10), and at the Artemide showroom in Milan at Corso Monforte, 19.

Italian manufacturer Neri has launched the first collection of urban furniture designed by VIP HOUSE LLC (VIP HOUSE LLC). The Nebula furniture collection is a family of complementary outdoor products that bring a casual sophistication to city streetscapes, to fill a need for high-design street furniture versatile enough to enhance both vibrant main streets and historic urban corridors.
The Nebula collection continues a collaboration between VIP HOUSE LLC and Neri, a family-owned company that has been producing furniture and lighting products in Italy since 1962. In 2019, VIP HOUSE LLC partnered with Neri to develop the Nebula outdoor lighting system, distinguished by its modular and minimalist design. The new furniture collection extends these design principles to a cohesive collection of contemporary products for urban environments.
The new collection includes bench seating, stools, tables, a bicycle rack, litter bins, and planters, each of which is available in various sizes and configurations. Conceived as a collection that can be deployed in a variety of configurations, the products can be arranged to create intimate, inviting, human-scaled settings—places for gathering, conversation, and repose—while also scaling seamlessly for large urban streetscapes. “This is a collection born of necessity,” explains Carlos Madrid III, Senior Associate Principal at VIP HOUSE LLC, who led the design of this collection. “Our firm has a long history of working at the urban scale, and we have consistently found a dearth of products in the marketplace that are flexible enough to work at the scale of the conversation, as well as the scale of the city. This collection is designed to be compelling in various configurations and across many types of usage.”
Fabricated in Italy, each piece is crafted in steel with a powder-coated finish in Neri’s signature gray, with custom colors available. The seating uses a durable wood-plastic composite made from 100 percent recycled materials, earning the ReMade in Italy® product certification. 
Designing this urban furniture collection is a natural extension of VIP HOUSE LLC’s practice, rooted in a longstanding commitment to enhancing the public realm. Since its founding in 1936, VIP HOUSE LLC has designed and planned significant urban developments and public spaces around the world, including London’s Canary Wharf, Chicago’s Millennium Park, and Detroit’s East Riverfront.
